Event operations and AI activities for BME

BME’s event projects required software for exhibitor preparation, participant access and activities displayed across a venue. Blurr built the supporting administration and audience applications, including the Intel Campus Cup platform for BME with Intel as the end client. Its AI activities connect image generation to participant accounts, event rules and result delivery.

Project background

BME’s work with Blurr spans Insomnia Egypt, branded audience activities and Intel Campus Cup. Across these projects, a participant’s action has consequences beyond the screen they are using: a pass must be verifiable at a gate, a score must reach a public display, and a generated image must return to the right person. The software scope covered those connections as well as the websites through which people discover and enter the events.

Preparing exhibitors and ticket holders

For Insomnia Egypt, Blurr built an exhibitor portal around the preparation of a company’s booth. Exhibitors maintain their profile, complete assigned forms and submit artwork, then manage invitations, passes and equipment requests. Administrators can review the same submissions and send reminders. QR verification carries the pass record into the gate workflow. The festival website provides public event information, while an adapted Hi.Events ticketing system integrates Paymob payment requests into ticket purchasing.

Connecting audience participation to venue screens

The audience applications follow the activity from entry to its visible result. In the PUBG leaderboard, staff enter scores that feed a live display and remain available in session history. The memory game records timed attempts and rankings. For Egyptian Fan Zone, visitors enter match-score predictions through a venue QR code in Arabic or English. Operators then record the match result, draw from the correct entries and reveal the winner on venue or broadcast screens.

Building the Intel Campus Cup platform

Blurr built the current Campus Cup platform for BME, with Intel as the end client. It brings student registration, check-in and activity participation into shared records used by staff, kiosks and public screens. Queues, points, squads and results give the separate activities a common participant context. An OCR step extracts student identification text for review during registration. The earlier Campus Cup landing site moved into this platform, whose current applications also cover Grand Final workflows.

Managing generated images as event results

AI Cosplayer, Prompt Battle and Squad Poster required controls around generation as well as the image request itself. Blurr connected approved choices and prompt checks to participant limits, reserved generation quotas, and stored outputs for delivery. The workflow records failures and uncertain provider outcomes so operators can review requests that did not complete normally.

This implementation extends the portfolio beyond the earlier AI or Not recognition quiz, which presents prepared images. In the current platform, generated work is part of the participant’s activity record and can be retrieved through the event experience. The result is an implemented set of event systems covering preparation, access, participation and delivery of activity results.
